The idea for Eternally was first put together when I was back home from college during Thanksgiving break. I woke up with a surreal feeling. My mind was filled with memories of growing up in the area. The project file for Eternally was originally called "Home" for this very reason. When I sat down to write, let's just say it wasn't long before ideas were flowing.
Eternally was originally written to have a completely different instrumentation. When I got back to school, I asked some horn playing friends to do a recording for me (I was obsessed with the track "Grey" by Kölsch at the time, which incorporates similar sounds). Though these horns were the foundation for the track, I eventually replaced them with synths. I still felt that original feeling I had while creating the song even at the finish.
This ended up being the first of my tracks that I've sung on (Set up in the school studio pictured to the right), recorded by my good friend Jackson Masters. The track ended up getting signed to LFTD records.
